A few little pics of home today.. the tidier parts anyway. Though it does feel good to have much of the house decluttered, I had given myself permission to have the week off from this activity. Only the kitchen and half the pantry to go now. After several full car loads to Vinnie's the house feels strangely lighter. It has been a purge of sorts. Getting rid of those things that were no longer serving any purpose, but were, as a whole, overwhelming me as I went about daily tasks. "A place for everything and everything in it's place". That's what I'm aiming for. Nearly there.
Wishing you all a pleasant Friday.
Such lovely corners of your home:) I especially love your clawfoot bath, I have one just like it in my home too:) I enjoy the feeling of cleaning out and feeling refreshed, it's a good one. Have a relaxing weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteLOVE the reflection of the window in the picture! I just love a tidy home - which mine is not!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Tania.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend,
xTania
I just love your bathroom! Curious - did you restore that bath? I'm looking at the possibility of buying one second hand and doing it up but not sure whether it is a ludicrous idea that is going to end up costing a fortune
ReplyDeletebeautiful bathroom Tania, I love the concrete floors.
ReplyDeletelove your bathroom as well I so miss a bath very rare to have a bath here
ReplyDeleteLovely snippets - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWe have much decluttering to do also, and will be putting LOTS of practical storage into our next home!
Cute post. I'll join in with the bath love!

Lovely post. Love your bathroom.
ReplyDeleteI'm in full house design mode at the moment. How do you find the shower without a screen or curtain? I'm thinking of doing the same and wondering if i'll regret it...
Gorgeous little corners :) I adore your claw foot tub...we had one growing up....and I love enamel mugs.
ReplyDeleteI started decluttering over the holidays and then it came to a grinding halt.
Enjoy your weekend
Susan, I ordered the bath from here http://www.castironbaths.com/
ReplyDeleteWe looked into refinishing an old bath, but with the time and money to buy an old one, and a quote of $1100- 1300 to refinish (and that was 2 years ago) we opted for the newer one. It was delivered to our doorstep.
Tea with Lucy - I have to admit that we don't use the shower all that often. The hand held attachment means you can wash your hair in the bath. After using the shower we just wipe down any spillages on the floor with a towel. I'm not a big fan of shower curtains. They seem to need replacing every few months.
Right. That's it. Enough is enough. Tomorrow I start. Is it bad to start with three kids around? (I'm targeting toys, here)...
ReplyDeleteTee hee, too cute, we mummy bloggers don't take close ups for nothing!! Amazing what is just out of frame. Tee hee, i'm clean today, i should run around with the camera now. Love Posie
ReplyDeleteOh count me in for the bath love too! Gorgeous gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired to get cracking on my decluttering now.
