Food has been fairly simple and basic these past few weeks after the rich food of the christmas break.
- A new favourite light and fluffy pancake recipe. Served with fried bananas, maple syrup, finely diced strawberries and vanilla cream.
- Kranskies. Man food.
- Fruit salad with vanilla cream (whipped cream, a little icing sugar and a dash of vanilla).
- Mushrooms on toast.
- Our favourite fried rice. Leftover for lunch. Adapted to what we had in the pantry. Lots of vegies added.
- Lemon slice by Julia. From her favourite cookbook. Similar recipe found here.
- Luca's cookie dough. From same cookbook.

Love that last pic of Luca, you can always tell what your favourite recipes are by the page of the cookbook. I'd say this page is going to look very loved and stained.
ReplyDeleteMy kitchen still under renovations so there had been no cooking in this house for months other than basics I can cook on the BBQ or electric Frypan I have set up on my temporary deck kitchen!!!! AGGHHH!!!
ReplyDeleteMy girls have that cook book too, it is such a good one, great illustrations and easy to follow instructions.. My second youngest loves to make the sunny scrambled eggs served up just like the picture for her dads breakfast on Sunday mornings. :)
so good. I've been really strict on using up things in the pantry since 2012 rolled in, hence we've been eating simple, hearty meals. I made a fabulous mango & chicken salad last night (complete with mint yoghurt) - recipe here: http://freshforkids.com.au/recipes/pdf/FFK_mango_chickensalad_mintedyoghurt.pdf
ReplyDeleteEasy living hey? Looks divine.
