Violet's 4 Seasons

The other night I stayed up a little late and put in the final stitches to this little cardi. It was one of those projects that had evolved over time. Originally this beautiful soft alpaca yarn was to be a dress. But that wasn't to be. So it was reincarnated into this simple little top (the 4 seasons jacket pattern) that didn't require a lot of concentration. Which was just what was needed right now.

It is a little roomy in the neck, something which time will no doubt fix. The buttons were an op shop buy while we were travelling in Victoria.

Our little (serious) model seems quite happy in it. I do love this age where they will wear anything that is put on them.

  3. Simple and sweet. I love staying up late in a quiet house to cast off a project. I'm knitting away at another kerchief, this one for my sister. Then I have plans of challenging myself with knitting my first adult cardigan, for myself, and a pair of socks!

  4. I am very much into knitting easy projects. Most of my knitting happens while the kids are running around, so it can't require much concentration. At night, the most I can manage lately is reading!

  17. Tania that is one gorgeous knit :)
I have completed more knitting projects in the last month or so than I have in over two years now. I had forgotten just how much I enjoyed it and I think it definitely helps when you have a little one to knit for.
