This long weekend we were not a terribly exciting lot. We stayed home. We had lots of family visitors. Firewood was split and stacked. A cubby house made by the kids. A fire to warm up. Homemade custard and baked coffee creams. Fireside reading and a little sewing. And I almost finished knitting that cardigan.
I hope you all had a pleasant weekend or long weekend, wherever you happened to be.
I can't tell you how much I enjoy your photos. Not just because they are lovely - your children are adorable, your home looks so cosy and your creations are impressive - but also because I love seeing shots of the surrounding landscape. I can almost smell the crisp air. And those poplars! Thank you!
ReplyDeletewe spent the entire w'end indoors - rain and cold and wind made for a cosy and quite relaxing few days. Loving all these photos - especially the heart patches on the pants. Cute!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a most enjoyable weekend and you even had sun!!We are almost flooding here at the moment. I've loved looking back over your blog and have seen little glimpses of the exterior of your house. I'm intrigued. Could we have a little more and did you build it yourself.

These are the type of weekends I love! Your photos take me back to my childhood...helping dad stack the firewood...mum putting knee patches on our pants to make them more durable...nana always having her baking tins filled to the brim - heaven :)

Looks like a lovely slow paced weekend, looks wonderful. I spent part of my weekend on a bushwalk, I needed to see something beautiful. We are mourning the loss of a wonderful cousin.
