Once upon a time I liked nothing more than a weekend outing to the local shopping centre. Which, I'm a little ashamed to admit, always involved a little arm twisting with my reluctant other half. Since moving out here I feel worlds away from the crowds, the parents rooms, and the multi storey carparks.
When you have this in your backyard, it's not a difficult decision to pack a last minute picnic and head out into the mountains. No arm twisting required. Forget about the grass that needs mowing. Getting away from it all, if even for a few hours, can be just what this family needs.

GORGEOUS! I would escape there too if it was in my back yard.
That looks lovely, I'd love to have more picnics but I never seem to be able to pull a spontaneous hamper of food together for a picnic. Would you please share the kinds of things that you pack for a picnic?

Malls have never held any appeal to me so you can imagine how daunting it was to see how mega huge they are here in Australia. Give me the country any day :)

I have to admit there was a time that going to a shopping centre was something I enjoyed too these days though they feel noisy and the busy feel of them is just not me. A picnic any day would be a favourite of mine. It looks like a pretty spot there. x
The longer we live here, the further away that shopping centre life feels. It's hard to imagine that we used to do it for fun.
Give me a bush picnic any day. x
