sewing space

The sewing corner is almost complete. You can see it's progress here. The gold frame is going to used eleshere in the house as I found the larger corkboard more practical for the space. A spray of black paint and some vintage sheet prettied up the corkboard. Suitcases hold some of the fabric collection. Next on the list is a sewing machine cover.  And curtains. But I never say finished because needs and tastes can change and I always feel that the home is a work in progress. But it is nice to have a pleasant, functional little space.

Hope you are having a lovely Friday!

  5. it's wonderful and i couldn't agree more that a home is always a work in progress - just when you think you've finalised one area, there is always another begging for some attention. Have a great time sewing and creating in such a lovely spot xx

  9. This is such a delightful sewing space Tania..I love all the little vintage bits and pieces.

I have kind of outgrown my space and am thinking I need to bring in my old wardrobe to house some of my supplies as hubby is getting rather tired of everything spilling out of my suitcases and tripping over them.

I agree that a home is ever changing and a continual WIP..I am forever changing and rearranging here :)

  10. Oh Tania. What a delightful little space. I'd look so forward to coming to it. I'm in the process of making a sewing space for myself and still undecided on how to store fabric. I have large pieces and lot's of little offcuts. You never know when they're going to come in handy. How do you store all of your fabric, so you can find what you're looking for easy enough? xx

  16. Your space is so pretty!. I recently organised a little corner for myself (instead of leaving a huge mess on teh kitchen table) and it makes such a difference. Looking at your space, I think I need a 'mood board' as well :) Will go and check out the op-shop today.
