iphoned

We went out yesterday. We "happened" to find ourselves at our local phone dealer. I just happened to buy myself a phone. Or, rather, tie myself down to a two year contract.

I'm feeling a little guilty about the extravagance of it all. I haven't had a mobile phone for 6 months, which did make me a little nervous when I went out phone-less.

I guess it was the photo apps that got me in the end.

For all you tech-savvy people out there, which apps should I be downloading? That is, when I can pry the phone out of my son's hands. How is it possible that a 9 year old can be so much more proficient with navigating that phone than I am?

PS. It seems we could live very close to one another! I saw you said you'd been knitting in Kiama/The Highlands! We live just south of Wollongong!
I love your blog and can't wait to explore around a little more! Some other phone apps with photography to check out are:
Mill Colour, Pic Collage, Cam Wow, Doodle Booth, Color Splash, Color, Tweegram and you can get Snapbucket on your phone too if you use that online?!?! :) Good luck!
Oh and what about Pinterest?!?! It's a must have!

  8. The photos on the Iphone are pretty good aren't they? I took some yesterday and uploaded them and was impressed with the quality. I have to admit I have hardly have any apps on my phone at all but enjoy surfing the net a bit while I'm out and about, it's really handy. Kids are so clever when it comes to technology I can't wait till my oldest can design my blog for me;) She loves creating all sorts of things on the computer she knows so much more than me. Enjoy your weekend. xx

  9. Yah for you, Tania. I love my iphone and the pics aren't too shabby either, I must say. I love instagram and Pinterest - both free apps. We've just got a geocaching app recently and it's such fun. Lewi loves Cam Wow and Fruit Ninja {I'm a fruit ninja junkie too actually. We've also just got it on the XBox too so we can get a little Fruit Ninja workout when required;)} and Lewi also just said he loves Pocket God and Mega Jump. All games of course;) Your Luca would probably love those.

IKWYM about the kids being able to work stuff out better than u. Lewi is an expert an yes, he thinks it's his phone!!! Have fun iphoning this weekend.

  10. Once you've had IPhone you'll never go back...

My six year old is much more proficient than me. He even snatched my phone from me a couple of days ago and said "I know more about this phone than you do mum" and within seconds had done what I had been trying to do. Scary!

    Enjoy your new apps :)

  13. I joined the iphone gang a few months ago and love it. Just downloaded instagram last week but haven't had time to fiddle around with it yet. I love other peoples images using it though. Thanks so much for getting back to me about your sink. I hope I am not driving you bonkers with another question but where o where did you get your saltwaters from? I have been looking via there website but can't find any adult sizes on line and am very keen for my own red pair for my birthday soon. Also how did you work out the sizing? thanks again,BTW going a tad crazy over at Besty's as well but only 2 more sleeps and sanity will prevail. melx

I love the ABC app for live streaming radio, words with friends, dictionary, converter, oz weather, and we all love a game, temple run, angry birds, doodlejump. Just go to the top free apps to find the goodies.

  15. Hi Bungalowgirl - the Saltwaters were from here :

I went for the 5 as I am normally Aus 7, but they are on the smaller side. There is a size comparison when you scroll down the sizes. They do fit, but just.
